Pruning & Shaping
There is a right way and a wrong way to prune trees and High Country Tree Services prides itself on getting the cut right every time. Shaping, crown thinning and weight reduction is carried out to the Australian Standard AS4373: Pruning of Amenity Trees (2007).
Windbreak pruning helps protect vital assets such as fences and livestock, through uplifting/high pruning and hedging along boundaries.
Applying for a Permit
High Country Tree Services will refer property owners to the appropriate authority to obtain the permits (if required) for tree removal or pruning, including the Mansfield Shire Council, VicRoads, Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority or Mt Buller & Mt Stirling Alpine Resorts Management Board.
Permits are required depending on the type, size and location of trees requiring attention. In particular, permits are required to remove trees that are close to roads and waterways or in the alpine area.
